It's a wrap!
Update: Spring RA
MSTA welcomed 283 delegates from across the state to take part in the Association's 2008 Spring Representative Assembly (RA) held Saturday in College Park. The focus of the spring meeting, held every two years, was to approve the budget and discuss and debate issues on the agenda.
2008 Spring RA Action:
- Delegates approved the Association's two-year budget.
- Delegates elected Gary Brennan, Frederick County, as NEA Director to complete an unexpired term (through July 2010) left vacant due to a resignation.
MSTA President Clara Floyd presided over the assembly. It's always a joy to come together as an Association and find our way to consensus, she said. I was pleased to see so many delegates interested and involved in the business of MSTA share their opinions and expectations.
