MSTA 2008 Minority Achievement Awards
Call for Nominations!

MSTA once again invites members to nominate candidates for the 2008 Minority Achievement Awards to be presented at the Association’s Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast honoring the legacy of the American civil rights hero.

Every year, MSTA and the Minority Affairs Committee recognize minority* individuals who have promoted and/or demonstrated leadership in public education. These awards recognize outstanding achievement at the national, state and/or local levels in each of five areas: education, leadership, politics, community involvement, and as a student member of the MSTA Student Program. Use the links on this page for nomination guidelines, rules and forms.

Look for more information in the coming months about MSTA’s 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast, January 17, at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt. The new location will accommodate increased attendance and provide ample parking.

Questions? Contact Debra A. Nixon, MSTA, dnixon@mstanea.org, 800/448-MSTA, ext. 3658.
